Day 1 - Arromanches & Bayeux
Start your Normandy & Brittany rail tour in the capital Paris. From St Lazare station travel by comfortable Intercité train in just over 2 hours to Bayeux in Normandy.

Possibility to visit Arromanches, the center of the invasion beaches. Bus up to the coast (30 minutes) and visit the D-Day Museum. The museum overlooks the remains of one the Mulberry Harbours (floating pierheads) which was constructed right after the invasion. You could also book a guided tour by minibus for approx €60 pp. The tour includes a visit to Omaha Beach and Arromanches and departs at 13:15.

Day 2 - Bayeux & St Malo
In the morning there is time to visit Bayeux, famous for tapestry and its cathedral. In the afternoon, continue by train to St Malo, an imposing fortified town right on the sea. St Malo has beautiful city walls, beaches and an impressive harbour.

Day 3 - St Malo & Mont St Michel & Brest
Spend your morning and afternoon in St Malo or visit one of France' top attractions: magnificent Mont St Michel.
In the early evening, travel by TGV to Brest. Travel time: 3h30min.

Day 4 - Ushant Island & Brest
Visit Brest, one of the largest cities in Brittany or make a day trip to Ushant Island (Ile d'Ouessant). The island situated at the southern entrance of the English Channel is well-known for its rugged landscapes and large light houses. There is bike rental on the island.
Boats to the island leave from the harbour in Brest, close to the train station and the hotel. Timetables do change, but generally speaking boats leave around 08:15 and arrive back in Brest around 19:30.

Day 5 - Return to Paris
Return to Paris by TGV. Travel time: 04h30min.
